THC vs THCa: Clearing the Smoke 🌬️

Alright fam, let’s break this one down — because a lot of you roll through asking about THCa, and it’s time to clear the haze.
THCa is what’s tested before combustion — that means before any fire touches it. It’s basically the raw potential. Once you hit it with a flame (or your favorite device), that THCa converts into good ol’ THC — the active compound that gets you lifted.
So, simple version?
THCa = Before the burn.
THC = After the burn.
Science, baby. 🔥
Now that the smoke’s cleared (literally), let’s talk about why that matters here in PA.
Pennsylvania’s a medical-only state, which means the Department of Health plays referee on what dispensaries can and can’t carry. Their rulebook says: if it wasn’t grown in PA, it doesn’t make the medical menu. That’s why you’ll see other states rocking drinks, chocolates, or gummies packed with extras — but not here. Retailers can’t have anything that looks like it might appeal to kids. (So yeah, no rainbow bear gummies, sorry.)
At OHGS, we don’t like guessing games with what anyone inhales. We keep it honest — just the way the Headz like it. 💨
