In the spring of 2023, our founding partner, Chasity, did what most people only daydream about during a boring Zoom call — she rage-quit her corporate job, sold off her retirement stash, and opened a headshop. Bold? Maybe. Crazy? Definitely. Worth it? Absolutely.

From day one, this was never about playing it safe. It was about flipping the script, building something real, and creating a space that felt nothing like the stale, cookie-cutter world she left behind.

The early crew — a mix of amazing people who came, went, and left their fingerprints on everything we built — helped shape our vision and vibe. They were part of turning a wild idea into a community, a shop with soul, and a place where good energy is just as important as good products.

And here’s the best part: the community and other local businesses of Palmyra showed up. They didn’t just support us — they became partners in this journey. From regulars who cheered us on in those uncertain early months, to neighbors who helped us shape our vibe, Palmyra has been at the heart of OHGS since day one.

Today, Chas and Ash continue to embrace this adventure as true partners in crime — fueling OHGS with grit, laughter, and a little rebellious spark that keeps things fresh. Nearly two years later, we’re still doing it our way, with a wink, a smile, and an open door for anyone ready to join the ride.
